Relayo vs Hookdeck
Last updated: 2026-10-09
Hookdeck is the most serious product in this category: managed webhook ingestion, queuing, retries, filtering, transformations and replay, for any provider that posts JSON. If you need a general-purpose event gateway across many vendors, it is a strong, mature choice and we would not pretend otherwise.
Relayo is narrower on purpose. It handles the parts of Meta's protocol that a generic
gateway leaves to you — answering the hub.challenge handshake, verifying
X-Hub-Signature-256 on the raw bytes, splitting batched
entry[].changes[] into separate events, routing them by Page, WABA or phone
number id, and re-signing each copy so a receiver that verifies Meta's header still accepts
it. And it does a second job Hookdeck does not do at all: bundling your MCP servers behind
one URL for Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

Pick them if Hookdeck
- You route webhooks from many different vendors, not mainly Meta.
- You want mature, general-purpose event infrastructure with deep ops tooling.
- Your team is comfortable writing the Meta-specific handling yourself.
Pick Relayo if
- Your events are Lead Ads and WhatsApp, and you want the protocol handled for you.
- You also want your tools available inside an AI assistant from the same account.
- You prefer one flat price to usage tiers at small volume.
Two hubs, one $19 plan, 7-day free trial.
